Anyone know how to get the drivers and the guest additions cd image to work on windows 10 tech preview? i really like it i just think that it needs guest additions. whenever i try to install, it comes up with a dialogue saying: "the virtualbox guest additions cannot be installed on this version of windows".. I have windows 10 running in virtualbox (windows 7 pro is the host os). i can't choose a resolution to match my display which is 1920 x 1080. do i nee.
Virtualbox guest additions may install properly, but on windows 10, the drivers in the guest will not actually start, as they are currently not working with windows 10. this can be seen if you go into device manager, and look at the guest additions driver.. I'm also experiencing the same issue running windows 10 enterprise 64-bit on a vm with 4 processors, 8gb memory, 128 mb video memory, 2 screens, 2d video acceleration, on a host running windows 7 enterprise 64-bit on a core i7 vpro with 16gb memory.. Win10 updates are not small patches, they're almost a reinstallation of windows, so 3rd party software that installs low level drivers (like virtualbox) is seriously affected by this and needs to be reinstalled..
